About Murata Machinery

Murata Machinery, Ltd. was founded in Kyoto in 1935 and has carried its present name since 1962. Besides sheet metal machinery it makes textile machinery, machine tools, logistics and factory automation, clean FA systems and communication equipment; its sheet metal business goes back to Wiedemann's turret punch presses.

Muratec introduced the BH dual-drive and BB ball-screw press brakes in 2011; both are now sold in an Advanced Version with a 21.5-inch multi-touch operating panel. The Japanese site also lists the 3-Point press brake, which sets the bend angle on three outer points with an NC-controlled die bottom and a hydraulic cushion.
