How to read the size

The first digits are the length (X), the last two the width (Y), each in hundreds of millimetres: 4020 is 4,000 × 2,000 mm and 12025 is 12,000 × 2,500 mm. Some makers write the width first: the Prima Power Laser Genius+ 1530 has a working area of 3,100 × 1,550 mm. The published working area is often a little larger than the nominal size.

Sizes in this catalog

Sizes with at least three machines, by how many machines offer them. The size is read from each machine’s published working area, not from its name.

Top laser power is the highest source each machine offers. “With an exchange table” counts the machines whose layout is published.

Choosing a size

Choose the bed from the largest sheet you buy and the parts you nest on it. In this catalog, the 84 machines with a working length of 8 m or more have a median top laser power of 45 kW, against 12 kW for the 59 machines of size 3015; 21 of the 52 large machines that publish their layout run on ground rails, against 0 of the 25 size-3015 machines.

How this guide was made

  • Figures about machines are computed from this catalog each time the page is built, so they follow the catalog (newest reading: 28 October 2026). They cover the machines whose makers publish each figure.
  • Facts from outside the catalog name their source, and makers are quoted only with sentences read on their own websites.
  • The text was drafted with an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic) and checked against the catalog and the sources below by Claude (AI) on 30 October 2026.
